![]() Their games are usually fairly priced too so funds shouldn't be that big of an issue. Everyone should support indie devs, they bring a breath of fresh air to gaming. I do think pirating games can seriously hurt indie devs though. We don't know how many people who pirated the game also bought the game. I could also pirate a game if I don't have enough money to purchase it right away and purchase it later when I do have money. I'll buy games that try to do things differently from devs that are not scared to try new things. I have purchased most games that I've ended up actually playing, it's just that they are so rare. There are many more factors and pirating is just the easiest target to pick on. In my opinion, pirating games doesn't hurt devs that much. I also end up talking about these games to friends and they will often purchase games upon my recommendation. Turns out, I don't really like video games anymore but I still want to try out the new stuff. I've pirated hundreds of games, I've ran them, tested out early game mechanics and stopped playing. I can apply this to so many games it's not even funny. Would I have played it if I could not pirate it? No. ![]() Would I have purchased this game even if I had the money for it? No. I've played it for about 40 minutes and dropped it. In many cases, they would've never gotten anything from these people.
